History was made when the WBHO plant department at Midrand in Cloorkop reached the remarkable feat of 1, 000 injury free days at the workshop.
It all began 4 years ago when Bill Bodington and Ernest Heather set the goal to achieve 300 injury free working days. The Workshop easily accomplished this initial target. The target was then increased to 600 injury free working days which was achieved in February 2009. Kobie Botha, the Executive Committee MD, then challenged the workshop for a 1, 000 day target which was accepted by the workshop.
On 23 July 2010 the plant department managed to accomplish this admirable task.
Paul Foley, Building and Civils MD, thanked the staff members at plant for their dedication and commitment and he noted that this commendable initiative would have a substantial impact on new work procurement as it will be very positively viewed by WBHO’s clients.
