The construction of the new 240KTPM platinum mine for Anglo American Platinum. It involves the blasting, excavating, and lateral support of 32.5m against the mountainside to get down to an engineered platform wherein a 21m deep box cut shall be blasted, excavated, and laterally supported. All of this to be done on a mountain where slope is, in some places, 74° from the horizontal.
