KUSILE POWER STATION MAIN CIVILS
HEAVY INDUSTRIAL PLANTS
Kusile Power Station is one of the new world-class 4800MW power stations constructed for Eskom. The project is located on the Hartbeesfontein Farm in Witbank on the R 545. WBHO, in joint venture, was responsible for the main civils which included; turbine generator blocks, flue- gas desulphurisation, incline coal conveyors, auxbay and associated tunnels, the sliding of air cooled condenser (acc) columns/boiler lift shafts/auxbay lift shafts/shear walls, cooling towers, including site earthworks, storm water, fire water, waste water collection dams and piping system.
