The Vale Tailings Storage Facility in Tete, Mozambique was awarded to WBHO on 3 June 2013 and work commenced on 3 July 2013. The majority of the work is bulk earthworks with over a million cubic metres of fill material required for the northern embankment dam wall. There are also slot drains of 2.8 km and a spillway consisting of more than 5000m³ of gabion stones.
