This state of the art library worth R1 million, was first conceptualised three years ago during the construction of the iconic Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. Then Mayor, Thabo Makunyane (this high school was named after his father who was the first doctor in the region) first contributed to the school with a television set and a DSTV decoder. He later approached WBHO, Seco, Prism Architects, Aurecon and KC Maiwashe & Associates about the library.
These partners agreed to contribute to this worthy course and on 20 July 2011, the new library was opened. Top management figures from the respective companies were present at the event together with representatives from the Education Department in the region. ![]()
